A GANG who caused £1million of damage ram-raiding ATM machines have been jailed for a total of 30 years.
The thugs were caught on CCTV targeting ATMs across the UK including a string of attacks in Scotland.
A court heard the organised crime gang escaped with £600,000 in cash stolen during 17 attacks over an 18-month period from 2021-22.
In Scotland, they carried out raids in Ayr, Livingston, Bo'ness, Motherwell, Glasgow and Carronshore near Falkirk.
The group would use a stolen van and straps to rip cash machines from the ground before fleeing in stolen high-powered vehicles with false plates.
For ATMs situated in buildings, they would use power tools or vehicles to smash through doors, then used a drill and other tools to access the contents inside.
