TENNIS Ben Griffin continued his good form to lead the Memorial Tournament by two shots after the opening round, with defending champion Scottie Scheffler five behind him.

Griffin went into the Ohio event having won the Zurich Classic in New Orleans alongside Andrew Novak in late April, then the Charles Schwab Challenge in Texas last week for his first individual PGA Tour title.
