EUROVISION winner Nemo has called for the contest to return to its ethos of peace and unity after this year's controversy over Israel's inclusion.

The Swiss singer, whose track The Code topped the table with 591 points, became the first non-binary act to take the title.

But the 24-year-old said after the victory - and smashing the trophy by mistake in celebration: "I have to say this whole experience was really intense, and not just pleasant all the way.

"There were a lot of things that didn't seem like it was all about love and unity.
