MOST people feel a bit down and depressed when they return from holiday.

Erik ten Hag must have been all smiles after heading home from Ibiza to discover he still had a job.

Ten Hag's role at Manchester United will be tweaked next season. It is understood he will become the club's head coach rather than manager, while his influence in terms of player recruitment will be diluted.

But ultimately, the Dutchman is still in charge of United. He has got what he wanted even if his players are shocked by the club's decision to keep him.
