Sven's family sell treasured trophies to pay huge debts

SVEN-GORAN Eriksson's grieving family are to sell treasured football trophies to help pay off his enormous debts.

It was revealed this week that the former England manager owed £8.6million when he died last year of cancer, aged 76.

His partner Yaniseth Alcides and two grown-up children will receive nothing.

Now the family plan to stage a special auction to help raise much-needed funds. Sven kept many trophies, medals and caps from his time as a player in his native Sweden and also as manager of teams such as Lazio, Roma, Mexico, Manchester City and Leicester City.
