Now an eight-year-old, with a following comparable to the mighty Desert Orchid, STRADIVARIUS (4.20, nb, ITV) showed the fire still burns bright when winning in a canter at York last month.
With today’s ground conditions in his favour, he can now turn the tables on his old adversary Trueshan, who has beaten him twice.
For Trueshan to repeat that feat he needs it soft and with conditions expected to ride fast his participation must be in doubt.
