FAMILIES of the 11 people killed in the Shoreham Airshow disaster have shared their hope that next week’s long-delayed inquest will finally bring justice.
A catalogue of delays including a trial – in which pilot Andrew Hill was acquitted of manslaughter – as well as Covid, have resulted in the inquest being put back repeatedly.
Last night the bereaved relatives said they were still optimistic of finally getting the truth – and the answers they need to allow them to grieve in peace.
They also said they hoped to come face-to-face with Mr Hill at the hearing when they publicly declare what their loved ones meant to them.
Speaking on their behalf, Sarah Stewart, of London legal firm Stewarts, said: “This is the last step in a long road to justice and truth for the families of those killed in the Shoreham Airshow disaster.
