This surge is primarily driven by favourable shifts in the global economic scenario and a strong domestic macroeconomic (macro) outlook.
The investment follows a modest inflow of â¹1,539 crore in February and a massive outflow of â¹25,743 crore in January, according to data from the depositories.
With this, FPIs' investment in equities has turned positive to the tune of â¹13,893 crore in 2024 so far, alongside â¹55,480 crore in the debt market.
Himanshu Srivastava, associate director-manager research at Morningstar Investment Research India, highlighted that FPIS have emerged as significant buyers in March.
