Developers win appeal over holiday apartments scheme

The owners of a Blackpool property whose flats scheme was turned down by council planners have successfully appealed against the decision.

They had applied to Blackpool Council for use of a property on Coop Street as six self-contained serviced holiday flats.

But the application was rejected by the planning officer using delegated powers, on the grounds that the standard of accommodation proposed would be inadequate in terms of the floor space of the flats.
