PTT asset monetisation scheme gaining ground

National oil and gas conglomerate PTT Plcis continuing its asset monetisation scheme, including reducing or abandoning investment in electric vehicle (EV) businesses to increase cash flow and brace fora sluggish Thai and global economy next year.

“We plan to sell shares and assets to earn an additional 100 billion baht from the fourth quarter of this year to the end of 2026,” said Kongkrapan Intarajang, chief executive and president of PTT.

During the first nine months of 2025, the asset monetisation scheme had already earned the company 47 billion baht.

Mr Kongkrapan said PTT is preparing to adjust shareholding in its petrochemical business by inviting interested business people to invest in this industry.

“PTT will continue to be the major shareholder of this business,’ he said, adding that a conclusion on anewshare structure is expected next year.
