YAYOI KUSAMA X LOUIS VUITTON
It's been a decade since Louis Vuitton first joined forces with acclaimed Japanese contemporary artist Yayoi Kusama (pictured left). The 94-year-old visual artist is famed for her immersive, kaleidoscopic polka-dot and mirror installations.
In celebration of the Maison's long-standing partnership with the visionary, Louis Vuitton has once again teamed up with Kusama, this time with the artist's instantly recognisable motifs adorning three of the brand's signature fragrances Attrape-Reves, Spell On You and L'Immensite.
Whimsical and dreamy, Attrape-Reves features hints of bright peony and gourmand cocoa, supported by base notes of patchouli and lychee. This limited edition version is decorated with Kusama's trademark polka dots in a gradation of black, silver, grey and white.
Her penchant for relentless, colourful dots also appears on this exclusive version of L'Immensite, a travel-inspired fragrance that effortlessly blends top notes of citrus and grapefruit with heart notes of sage and geranium, before revealing a sensual base of amber and labdanum.
Meanwhile, Spell On You, a scent dreamed up by master perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud that triumphantly captures the delicate beauty and complexity of iris pallida, has been updated with Kusama's signature infinity dots.
Besides Kusama, the French luxury house has collaborated with other artists such as Takashi Murakami and Jeff Koons over the years, solidifying its status as a cultural powerhouse.
