A distinct Italian flair, born in Milan
BAGATT has its origins in the 1980s, in northern Italy. The brand was designed to impress the world of shoe fashion with fine craftsmanship marked by a distinct Italian flair. In 2022, the design DNA lives on.
Incidentally, the launch of brand BAGATT in India coincides with a time that's seeing the country's retail space witness a phenomenal spate of investments. Sandip Baksi, COO of Astor Mueller India, says, "At AstorMueller, we recognise this opportunity. The plan is to make brand BAGATT reach the top 10 cities over the next 18 months, with stores and a pan India D2C presence by September 2023. We deem it the right time to take our brands to discerning, fashion-conscious buyers in India. Establishing a strong retail presence; designed in the fashion capitals of the world and crafted in India."
It's not just the conducive retail environment though. AstorMueller has, right since its inception, gone forth and made inroads into new countries and markets by constantly strengthening and evolving its shoe-making expertise.
As Sirish Kumar, the Global Sourcing Director and CEO of AstorMueller India, observes, "Behind our vision and rapid global expansion, at the very heart, is the shoe itself. We leave nothing to chance when it comes to building a shoe.
