The art and design topography of a city is often a mirror to the soul of the cultural landscape of the place. In the case of Dubai, a dedicated space for artists, thinkers, and creators has resulted in an entire neighborhood that has emerged as a hub for culturally meaningful spaces.

Enter Alserkal Avenue, located in the AI Quoz industrial area of Dubai and founded by Emirati businessman and patron Abdelmonem Bin Eisa Alserkal (in 2007), a repurposed factory that is now home to a community of over 70 contemporary art galleries, visual and performing arts organisations, and designers.
