T he secrets of a seemingly close-knit community come to the surface when an elderly woman is brutally murdered as Shetland returns this week.

When Colin Waite (Only Child's Greg McHugh) calls on neighbour Eadie Tulloch one morning, he's horrified to find her corpse outside her cottage, and a forensic examination soon confirms she's been dead for several days.
