HFCL: Making Indian Infrastructure 5G-Ready
MAHENDRA NAHATA, MD, HFCL
Apart from its existing Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 5, UBR, switches portfolio, they have launched open source Wi-Fi 7 access point, 5G 8T8R Macro Radio Unit (RU). The company is locally designing and developing 5G 8T8R Small Cell Radio Unit, 5G Outdoor Small Cell, and 5G millimetre wave (mmWave)-based fixed wireless access CPE products.
With the launch of open-source Wi-Fi 7 Access Point, HFCL W has become the first original equipment manufacturer in India to design and launch this Wi-Fi technology to complement the indoor 5G coverage. The fifth generation of cellular networks, 5G, is ushering into our lives at the speed of light, and it is poised to transform industries and dramatically enhance day-to-day experiences. Futuristic services are now a possibility because of faster connectivity, ultra-low latency, and greater bandwidth. However, all of these are only achievable when the network is supported by adequate telecom infrastructure.
