Everton v Chelsea

It’s official – Everton has the finest Under-23s team in the country.

After a hugely-successful league campaign, the young Blues were crowned Premier League 2 champions this week.

Their title success was confirmed following Liverpool’s 3-2 victory over second-placed Manchester City on Monday evening.

The entire Under-23s squad – including several youngsters who are now part of the first team – coach David Unsworth and his staffgot together at the Club’s training ground on Tuesday to briefly revel in their triumph.

The team’s final game of the season is the Merseyside mini-derby on Monday 8 May (7pm kick-off), with supporters invited to attend the game for FREE in a bid to further boost the young Blues’ ‘Home Is Where The Heart Is’ campaign.

Proud boss Unsworth said: “I’m thrilled for the young players, they absolutely deserve it.
