GB celebrates record medal haul at para-Worlds
The Great Britain cycling team were celebrating their best ever medal haul at a para-cycling World Championships on Sunday.

The squad came away with 11 medals, six of which were gold.

Dame Sarah Storey was the only person to walk away with two rainbow jerseys, in the C5 time trial and road race. The ever-youthful Storey now has 40 para-sport world titles (she started in swimming) on her palmarès.

She said: “It feels amazing, it’s never something you take for granted. The last time I won a medal that wasn’t gold in a para road race was in 2006, so that enormity comes with me every time I race.”
