Triaging Covid-19 Patients At Home Reduces Direct Admissions To Hosps

TRIAGING Covid-19 patients at home has reduced the number of patients being admitted directly to hospitals, according to data obtained from the greater Chennai Corporation.

Triaging at home is done for Covid-19 patients below the age of 60. For this, a doctor, nurse and anM visit the houses of patients and check their vitals, saturation levels and take note of their symptoms. Based on the symptoms displayed, the patients are directed to remain in home isolation, or get admitted at a Covid care centre or hospital. Patients in home isolation are given tablets.
