A STAFFORDSHIRE bull terrier has undergone life-saving surgery in Plymouth after wolfing down six packets of Christmas chocolate coins.
Staffie who scoffed Christmas chocolates saved by PDSA vets

The owner of the six-year-old pet called Hugo had popped to the shops only to return to find all of their chocolate gone and wrappers strewn on the floor of their home.

The Staffie was rushed to the PDSA pet hospital where vets took the decision to operate, as chocolate can be lethal to dogs, with foil being an additional danger.
