Horseback ride is feast of festive fun

PLYMPTON residents were given a Christmas surprise when Santa Claus and Mrs Claus arrived in the town – on horseback.

The Christmas ride across Plympton involved around 50 festive horses and riders who dressed up to help raise money for local charity.

Jordan Cann, Courtney Cann, Tracey Hingston and Leanne Matthews organised the Christmas event to raise money for Jeremiah’s Journey, after hearing about their work with children.

A group of around 50 arrived and rode the streets together – and riders and horses turned up in style, with tinsel wrapped around their bridles, Santa hats and even Santa and Mrs Claus making an appearance.
