Hobbs and co have clocked up over 1,100 miles in travel after the FA Trophy clash in the North East at Spennymoor Town was followed by a trip along the south coast to Winchester.
If that had been a professional football club racking up the miles, then you can bet your life there’d be comments about travel and the need for rest and recovery. But for Hobbs, it was a case of being up for work at 7am on Wednesday morning, just four hours after returning from Winchester.
His players also had to go out and work, after such a draining midweek trip, but while tiredness could be a more than legitimate excuse for him to switch things around for the trip to Paulton – which is only a 232-mile round trip – he has no intentions of making any unnecessary changes to his starting XI.
