A GRANDMOTHER who says she misses the water feature in Armada Way has launched a petition urging the council to restore it.
Una Sears says as a child she relished “following the meandering path through town and listening to the sound of the babbling brook”.
She has now launched a petition via change.org, pressing the council to consider including it in its latest revamp of the city centre.
But Plymouth City Council has responded, saying the man-made stream is no longer sustainable and cannot be resurrected to the original 1980s design. However, it is considering a far more environmentally-friendly water feature that could use parts of the existing feature.
