A FATHER from Bere Ferrers has slammed a local parking company after he received a £60 parking fine for paying for the wrong car while using the parking app RingGo.
Scott Corben parked outside the Theatre Royal Plymouth last month when taking his daughters to see a show, after they came to the end of a Covid-19 isolation period.
However, the family’s trip became slightly more expensive than first expected when Scott accidentally paid for the wrong car when typing the registration plate of his car.
A spokesperson for RingGo explained that the firm does offer a “grace period” for drivers to correct their registration data after they have paid to park, if they need to – but, if the wrong details are entered and not corrected, drivers are liable to a penalty charge notice (PCN).
