A Plan to fix the huge shortage of apprentices will be announced by Simon Harris today.
A new five-year scheme aims to produce 10,000 trainees each year.
Its focus it to get more people trained up in areas such as plumbing, roofing, electrical and increase the number of chefs.
Higher Education Minister Mr Harris and Minister of State Niall Collins will launch the Action Plan.
Minister Harris said: “The world is changing fast. We have to rebuild and reimagine our economy and society as we start to get the pandemic under control and reopen.
