THE fashion world was today mourning the death of celebrity designer Thierry Mugler at the age of 73.
The flamboyant French icon was credited with defining the Eighties “power dressing” look and creating the phenomenon of “A-listers as models”.
Over six decades, Mugler dressed some of the biggest names in entertainment including Madonna, Cindy Crawford, Diana Ross, David Bowie, George Michael, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus and Kim Kardashian.
Arguably his most famous single creation was the black strappy dress worn by Demi Moore’s character Diana Murphy in the 1993 film Indecent Proposal.
