DANIEL DUBOIS’ response to those who believe he’s a quitter is short and sharp.
“If I were a quitter, I would have packed it in after that. But that’s not the case,” he said.
Dubois, 23, is talking about his last fight when he took a knee in the 10th round against Joe Joyce back in November.
‘Dynamite’ Dubois’ march to the top of the heavyweight division had blown up in smoke in his 16th fight.
Many voices in boxing circled on him and labelled him a quitter for calling an end to the fight himself.
The Londoner would later discover he had a fractured left eye socket and bleeding on his retina.
A wise decision rather than a cowardly one, then. Certainly a move beyond his years of experience.
