Carrick backs Ronnie to shine for new boss Ralf

MICHAEL CARRICK reckons Cristiano Ronaldo has nothing to fear when it comes to the arrival of new Manchester United boss Ralf Rangnick.

Rangnick is waiting to secure a work permit before starting his role as interim boss on a six-month deal until the end of the season.

The German is known as the 'Godfather of the Gegenpress' after introducing the high-intensity tactic at a number of clubs he has managed and coached.

A host of elite managers have gone on to emulate Rangnick's philosophies, including Jurgen Klopp and Thomas Tuchel.
