Lewies will lean on Quins leaders to drive title bid
The Rugby Paper|November 15, 2020
WITH few Test call-ups hampering preparations, new Harlequins captain Stephan Lewies believes a fast start will underpin a charge towards the top four.

Lewies will lean on Quins leaders to drive title bid

While last season’s sixth-place finish appears creditable, Quins were 13 points shy of Sale above them – not good enough according to the South African lock.

“If you look back at the season, we beat top teams like Exeter, Bristol, Sale and Wasps but lost all our games against Worcester and London Irish,” Lewies told The Rugby Paper.

“If you want to be a top-four team you can’t afford to be that inconsistent, you have to grow as a team throughout the season and get better towards the end.
