These were the words of a man very much in demand. Pogba, whose future is making front-page news across Europe, might have just hinted at his destination once the upcoming season starts. However, Manchester United is the favourite to re-sign the youngster it once let go; if you would like to believe the English media.
Apparently, the English side is ready to table an astronomical offer of over GBP 100 million to Juventus and Real Madrid might not want to compete with that sum.
Calm Allegri Unfazed by the rumours, manager Massimiliano Allegri, who signed an extension with Juventus towards the end of last season, warned Paul Pogba and Leonardo Bonucci that “Juventus are now among the top four European clubs and want the Champions League.”
He was speaking to Italian media outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport and was asked about the huge bids on the table from Manchester United and Manchester City for Juve’s star players.
“I am calm about the English rumours. Anyone who has the opportunity to leave Juventus has to consider things very carefully, because right now Juve are among the top four European clubs.” While, Pogba’s future might be on everybody’s lips, the market is very much open with players moving clubs, with a majority of them congregating on English shores. The English Premier League is undisputedly the most attractive destination with some of the best managers taking charge.
