A love of French style lies at the heart of this immaculate garden in Cape Town.
When the Stuarts moved to Cape Town 13 years ago, they fell in love with a property in Bishopscourt with a spectacular view of the buttresses of Table Mountain. As it faced north and had a gentle incline, they realised that a multi terraced garden was possible. Louie took on the garden as her particular project, and it became as she puts it, her canvas.
Having travelled extensively through France, Louie wanted to establish her own piece of this romantic country at home. After in-depth research, she put together a file of features and ideas from magazines to give their architect, Philip Watermeyer of PWM Architects, the look and feel she was after.
