Big news on the West Hollywood design landscape came in the form of the first American outpost of French brand L’Eclaireur, which recently opened on a bucolic corner of Robertson Boulevard in the Design District.
The space was reimagined as a fully restored 1960s chic French-style revival mansion with a modern twist. Founders Martine and Armand Hadida opened the original fashion boutique in 1980 on the lower ground floor of a gallery on the Champs-Elysées. Their claim to fame was introducing the relatively unknown Maison Martin Margiela, Dries Van Noten, Comme des Garçons and Yohji Yamamoto to the world.
