After launching its new dealer network in South Africa earlier this year, Fendt, which is owned by AGCO, has brought a number of new machines to the local market. The latest addition is in the tracked tractor segment.
According to Fendt, unlike other tracked tractors, the Fendt 900 Vario MT (Multi-Tracked) is not simply a variation of a wheeled tractor. It has been developed as a pure tracked tractor. The wheelbase has been extended to 2 565mm, which is 130mm longer than previous versions. The total ground contact area is 3,25m² on 635mm-wide tracks, 3,90m² with 762mm, and a hefty 4,42 m² on 864mm tracks.
“This equates to more traction, less soil pressure, and an optimal weight distribution across the entire contact area,” Fendt said in a statement.
