FFA Member Spotlight: Allison Jackson

Allison Jackson is a common name heard around Polk County FFA chapters, and rightfully so — she currently holds officer positions for chapter president, subdistrict chair, Polk County Federation Secretary as well as District VIII Secretary.

Jackson is actually a third-generation FFA member, so she has known for years that when the time came, she would be wearing the infamous corduroy jacket. In middle school she watched her older sister show livestock at the county fair, go to judging practices and attend many different meetings.

“I paid close attention to the bonds she formed with people and her chapter. In middle school I was always the girl who was the last to be invited to the party, so I was longing for that family relationship in high school,” Jackson says. Isn’t that what the FFA is all about? Those close friends that become family after years of late nights, hours of practice and multiple memories are the best.
