Mugs, key-rings, designer clothing, luggage... every car showroom these days has a ‘lifestyle’ range of accessory and gift items.
That kind of merchandising had not reached its present state of sophistication in the era when MGAs and MGBs were rolling off the production lines, but today’s reborn MG brand has not been slow to capitalise on its heritage and items like T-shirts, baseball caps, umbrellas and even teddy bears are all available from the company’s online shop (https://shop.mg.co.uk).
Likewise, there’s no shortage of distributors of retro items aimed at the classic enthusiast supplying outlets such as motor museum gift shops. One such firm goes by the name of Red Hot Lemon, supplying metal wall signs, keepsake tins and similar MGrelated products, all of them officially licensed. Among their current lines are two very colourful storage tins depicting either a TF or an MGA.
