The Zorn palette is named after Anders Leonard Zorn (February 18, 1860 – August 22, 1920), an internationally successful artist from Sweden.

He obtained international success as a painter, sculptor and printmaker. Zorn was a prolific artist and became an international success as one of the most acclaimed portrait painters of his era. Among Zorn’s portrait subjects were King Oscar II of Sweden, and three American Presidents: Grover Cleveland, William H. Taft and Theodore Roosevelt.
