That’s the REAL reason the Queen shocked the world earlier this month with the announcement her royal consort will retire from public life by the fall, palace sources tell GLOBE.

“Sadly, the end is very near for Philip,” says a palace insider close to Britain’s ruling family. “He’s very, very sick. Her Majesty and her doctors believe Philip won’t live long enough for the family’s annual holiday festivities at Balmoral Castle.”
