Collezioni Donna n. 179 (Paris - London) -  If Milan fashion week traces new trends with a sure look, Paris and London defines, confirms, and perfects them, presenting the latest news live from designers belonging to the most diverse cultures, offering us an international vision for next season. All fabrics from the English tradition are affirmed:  from glen check to plaid, and not only for outerwear - the  must-have for the moment - from coats to capes. Outlined with a creative touch, the importance of knitwear is also of interest. Leather garments are strategic, more than sheepskins, especially with glossy effects.  The pursuit for a pole position in colors is in order: blue Klein is brilliant and alternative, green is absolutely emerging, red is always loved, and then there’s a return to  black, more black than expected, with spatial  silver, gold and iridescent sequins, and marvelously colored crystals. Collezioni Donna n.178 (Milan _New York) On stage, the latest trends, with knitwear in the foreground, the true star of Fall-Winter 2018/19. Oversized, enveloping  sweaters in warm yarns, with interesting decorations. Never boring. Strategic necks: round, high, crater, mock demonstrate the stylistic search that involves this sector. Issue 175 of Collezioni Donna continues the analysis of the Autumn/Winter 2017 trends spotted on the catwalks of the increasingly creative and exciting Fashion Weeks in Paris and London. It is going to an autumn/winter decidedly focused on cocooning, enveloped and wrapped in warm, soft, comfortable materials, from the yarns to fabrics, such as princely velvets, borrowed from the wardrobe of an English gentleman to reconfirm a typically British mood. Tweed, Prince of Wales check, tartan, herringbone in increasingly unexpected shapes and styles as dictated by the new wave of international fashion designers. Very interesting shades of green and purple appear in the colour palette alongside forest tones while in the air there is a hint of Victorian inspired romanticism, symbolic of the imminent arrival of a new chastity.
Long wraparound coats for endless hugs. The revival of the sheepskin coats and jackets, garments closely linked to the 1970’s, continues while increasingly special padded outerwear moves away from the style of classic down jackets. Fantastic new interpretations of both leather and knitwear.
The "Emotions" section focuses on themes that will be developed further in the next issue (120) of Collezioni Trends: evocative images, chosen to suggest the emotions that are the lifeblood for those who, like us, work in the fashion industry.
