India is the global host of 2018 World Environment Day with “Beat Plastic Pollution” as the theme for this year and the world is coming together to combat single-use plastic pollution. The Neptune GLITZ too urges all responsible inhabitants to come together and explore sustainable alternatives and reduce the excessive use of single-use plastic polluting our oceans, damaging marine life and threatening human health. Architecture is about a way of life and that we build our environment and then our environment nurtures and in turn influences the way we live. I am most excited to present the award winning project of Ar. Rajesh Shivaram from Technoarchitecture, Bangalore who has designed the extension of his studio to re-create the same old atmosphere without having to break or alter the existing rustic and ethnic setting adopting the new technology with extensive use of glass & steel. And for this time's cover story we have the extravagant and luxurious office space at Rajkot designed by creative geniuses Janki Prakash and Parth Prakash Hakani. Despite of several constraints of the original space, Ar. Ankita Sweety & Pratyoosh Chandan has once again proved their unparalleled talent and skill by designing the renovation of Borges Head Office in New Delhi & wisely transforming it into a lively, contemporary and modern work space. The contemporary interior elegance combined with fantastic design creates a symphony of style which has been thoughtfully planned & well appointed in this Belani Residence at Nagpur, designed by Ar. Om Prakash Thakrani. There is a misconception that modernity and simplicity can't go hand in hand. Interior designer Nilesh Chopda, whose design philosophy is simple and clutter-free space, has combined simple design with contemporary lifestyle requirements while designing the interior of Gugale Residence in Pune. This issue also features a space to unwind, refresh & rejuvenate–a soothing spa in Raipur designed by Interior designer Dharmendra Jain.
