As the schools have officially broken up for the six-week holidays, you might be looking for things to do to keep your little ones entertained this summer. Here, Taite Johnson and Robert Dalling have compiled a list of 21 great things that are on in Cardiff and Swansea during the summer holidays for kids and their families...

1. GET CRAFTY AT MUSEUM

At Swansea Museum until August 31 there will be craft workshops, garden games and activities in its chill-out space.

One of the summer workshops at the museum will be its "unnatural history" project, every Thursday, starting from today, where youngsters can use their imagination to build their own unique animal or plant, to either take home or put on display. It takes place from 10am until 1pm and it is a free drop-in event for all ages.

2. SCALE PRINCIPALITY

Perfect for the thrill-seekers of the family, you can see Cardiff from all new heights with Scale. For the second year, Cardiff's Principality Stadium's fun adventure activity offers stunning views and adrenaline fuelled experiences. Scale offers three main activities: a daring walk across the stadium roof, a zip line ride on the rooftop, and an abseil down the side of the iconic Welsh landmark.

3. HOP ABOARD LAND TRAIN

The Swansea Bay Rider is a 72-seater land train, which runs along Swansea promenade, starting from Blackpill to West Cross, Norton and Oystermouth, taking in amazing views of Swansea Bay. Popular with tourists, the train recently had a famous passenger in the form of Anais Gallagher, the daughter of Oasis legend, Noel.

It will operate from 10am until 6pm from now until Friday, August 29, and departure times take place almost once an hour from 10.30am.

4. CARDIFF BAY FAMILY FUN PARK

A staple Cardiff activity for all of the family to enjoy once again this summer is the Cardiff Bay Family Fun Park returning to the Roald Dahl Plass. Open now until Monday, August 25 at 11am to 8pm, you can enjoy a number of fairground activities as well as dine with street food vendors whilst enjoying live entertainment.

5. WATCH RAFT RACE
