Bath keen to 'put on a show' when Sharks visit
Western Daily Press
|November 21, 2025
BATH Rugby have been looking at their productivity in the red zone as they focus on earning a home win over Sale Sharks to keep the club's Prem Rugby Cup campaign alive ahead of the second block of pool stage matches during the Six Nations period.
The reigning Prem Rugby Cup champions currently sit third in Pool A on six points, with one win from three games after narrowly missing out 19-17 away at Gloucester last weekend, having failed to capitalise on a number of prime opportunities, including a missed penalty from young James Linegar.
In the latest revamp of the development cup competition, the top two sides in each pool will advance to semifinal knockout games to play for the trophy.
The Cherry & Whites currently sit top of the pool standings on 15 points, with Saturday's visitors, Sale Sharks, in second on 12 points after a 34-3 win over Exeter last weekend, after naming a close to Premstandard squad for the fixture.
