Unique art exhibition will showcase glorious beauty of the natural world

A UNIQUE art exhibition showcasing the hand-grown and crafted works of talented fibre artist Alice Fox is to open this weekend.

Alice has spent the past two years creating a new body of work using flax she helped to grow, harvest and process at Kestle Barton, near Manaccan.

Her finished pieces are set to be showcased as part of an upcoming exhibition, titled Flaxen, which will run from Saturday until August 31 at the historic Cornish farmstead on the Lizard Peninsula, which has been converted to offer a contemporary gallery space as well as holiday accommodation.

Alice, whose work has been acquired by collections in the UK and the US, received support from the Theo Moorman Trust for Weavers to purchase flax processing equipment, helping to bring her vision to life.
