12 CARS THAT WILL BRING YOU GOOD LUCK THIS YEAR OF THE HORSE

2026 is the Year of the Fire Horse and it brings strength, speed, and energy.

- By VINCENT VILLA

The fire element also evokes passion, bold moves, and rapid progress into lucky signs this 2026. We, being in the mobility beat, thought of cars that could bring you similar things - all without breaking the 2M threshold.

There were a lot of new cars last year, even this year despite Q1 not done yet, so it’s tough to narrow down the list. In the end, we settled for 12 since there are 12 animals in the Chinese Zodiac. These are the cars that will bring you good fortune this 2026 in no particular order.

BYD Seal 5 DM-i

Let's start off the list with the most affordable one in this list. The BYD Seal 5 DM-i is a great symbol for the Fire Horse as it broke the subBYD SEAL 5 DM-1 compact segment with its size, power, and hybrid capability. Add to that its very premium interior and you'll really feel the intensity it brings to your daily drive. And like a healthy horse, this can go the distance with both variants capable of breaking the 1,200 km mark in a single tank of gas.

Hyundai Elantra

The best car is one that can adapt to your preference and the Elantra can do just that. It's available in a variety of powertrains including electrified, and provides a good size for the price. Not to mention the pleasurable driving experience you have without shelling out around 1.5-million. Its segment may be a niche at this point but Hyundai says there's still brilliance with the Elantra in it.

Mitsubishi Destinator

Speaking of powerful, Mitsubishi dubbed the Destinator as "Confidence booster for energetic families." It's powered by a turbocharged engine, has more space for all occupants and their belongings, and dons a very intimidating stance from all angles.

You'll also feel the passion of Mitsubishi in the Destinator with its Avionics and Driving Scorer which were built in-house by Mitsubishi engineers.
