Intruder shot dead, 1 held for Pak spying in Gujarat

THE BSF shot dead a Pakistani intruder attempting to enter from the India-Pakistan border in Gujarat's Banaskantha district late Friday night.

In another development, Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has arrested a 28-year-old health worker from the border district of Kutch for his alleged links to an espionage network run by Pakistani intelligence operatives.

The accused, Sahdevsinh Deepubha Gohil, a multipurpose health worker posted at Mata-na-Madh PHC, was taken into custody after investigators discovered that he had allegedly passed classified photographs and videos of BSF and Indian Navy installations to a handler identified only as "Aditi Bharadwaj" — an alias used by a Pakistani intelligence agent, ATS said on Saturday.
