INDUSTRY leaders have welcomed the launch of the Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS) 2025, aimed at boosting domestic production and exports in the country's electronics manufacturing sector.
The Minister of Electronics and Information Technology, Ashwini Vaishnaw unveiled the guidelines for the incentive scheme on Saturday. The scheme has an outlay of ₹22,919 crore and will be implemented over a period of six years. Pankaj Mohindroo, Chairman of the India Cellular and Electronics Association (ICEA), underlined the critical importance of integrating with Global Value Chains (GVCs) to build scale, enhance competitive
