Matyana calls for the comeback of Mandela’s iconic tracksuit

From gold medals at global sports events to making waves in the UFC, teams like the Springboks, Banyana Banyana, and even our academic Olympiads are shining.

The phrase “No DNA, just RSA” is really fitting right now.

Its as if the entire country is in its winning era.

And now, thanks to one Cape Town creator, that same spirit might just be headed for our wardrobes too.

Radio personality, MC and allaround vibe curator Mitch Matyana recently took to Instagram with a viral video that had South Africans howling and low-key agreeing.

Matyana’s request is simple, calling on South Africans to get the legendary stylist who dressed Nelson Mandela to “come to the front of the congregation” and bring back the iconic tracksuit that the late president famously wore back in 1996.

“Okes, the stylist of our former great president Nelson Mandela, please come to the front” Matyana says in the clip, laughing. “Let me cook!”
