Haryana Plans Law Against Songs That Promote Gun Culture

Reacting to the controversy over removal of controversial songs of a popular Haryanvi singer Masoom Sharma by the state government, Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini said that the state government may also bring a law against such songs which promote gun culture and hooliganism.
"We will bring a law whenever required and good songs will give direction to the society as people get inspired by movies and songs," the chief minister said replying to a question regarding the controversy over banning of songs.
Sharma's live concert in Gurugram turned controversial when police intervened and stopped the show over the banned song 'Khattola.' The event, held at Leisure Valley Ground in Sector 29, was brought to an abrupt halt after Sharma made a statement encouraging fans to sing the song which was removed from social media by the government.
