Liverpool versus Manchester United has always been a fiery affair, but this Sunday's clash between two giants of the English game has the Premier League champions heavily fancied.

The clash at Anfield is a good chance for Arne Slot's side to put a run of three successive defeats behind them and keep up their early season fight with Arsenal for the top spot on the EPL log.

They trail the Gunners by a single point but are five points clear of Manchester United, who are in 10th slot with three victories and three defeats in their opening seven games of the league season.

It is the same inconsistency that marked their last season under Ruben Amorim, whose tactical approach continues to be heavily criticised.
