Pharmacy customer kicked off at workers

A Renfrew man swore at pharmacy staff, banged on the counter and threw a bin just because they asked him to collect his prescription on a different day.

Out-of-control Andrew Robertson attended at Numark Pharmacy on the town's Hairst Street on Thursday, May 15, to collect his weekly prescription.

Due to being a day late, the 40-year-old was asked if he would prefer to collect his prescription on a Thursday going forward.

Robertson saw red and lashed out, causing “fear or alarm” by swearing, shouting and banging on the counter top.

Procurator fiscal depute Karen Yuill told Paisley Sheriff Court: “Around 11am, on May 15, the accused attended at the pharmacy to get his weekly prescription.

“This was usually done on a Wednesday and this was a Thursday. Due to this, a staff member asked the accused if, moving forward, would he collect it on a Thursday.
