Exhibition outlines plan for 136 homes on town outskirts

A HOUSEBUILDER behind a new development planned for the southern edge of South Molton says residents have responded positively to detailed proposals.

Baker Estates showed off its plans at a packed public exhibition last month at the town's Scout Hut. The consultation gave people the chance to view early designs for the Furzebray Farm site and speak directly with the developers. The scheme of 136 homes includes a mix of bungalows and chalet bungalows, which Baker Estates said were in high demand locally. Nineteen of the homes will be affordable, offered for rent or shared ownership.
