Catherine Tyldesley on being back on the cobbles
CATHERINE Tyldesley admits her return to Coronation Street after seven years away was not all smooth sailing.
But she says the soap family made it easy for her and her character Eva Price the new Rover's Return landlady - to feel at home again.
"I've been made to feel super welcome," she says.
"I needed that because I was really nervous. I was genuinely nervous because it's been a long time.
"It's been incredible to be back. You are like a family when you work at Corrie. We all really make the effort to stay in touch, cast and crew, so I feel incredibly lucky."
Catherine, 42, is mum to Alfie, 10, and Iris, three, with her photographer husband Tom Pitfield and says she's ready for the challenge of juggling work and home life.
She feels it is the perfect time to come back and speaks positively of where the programme is heading under producer Kate Brooks.
